1. Location & Geography
- Location: Situated within the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital national relic site, Truong Yen Commune, Hoa Lu District. It is conveniently located just 2km from Trang An and about 8km from Bai Dinh Pagoda.
- Landscape: A secluded flooded valley completely surrounded by mountains. To enter this hidden world, visitors travel through a modern tunnel pierced through the mountain or climb over traditional stone steps.
- Significance: Often called the "Tuyet Tinh Coc" of Vietnam (meaning a legendary secluded valley) due to its mysterious atmosphere and breathtaking emerald-green water that remains vibrant year-round.

It was once the location where Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang established a court to maintain justice, and later became the place where Queen Mother Duong Van Nga spent her final years as a Buddhist nun. The Am Tien Cave, located halfway up the mountain, is shrouded in the heroic and tragic legends of the Dinh and Le dynasties.
